Description

• Mounting divided to Hot Mounting(Thermosets – Phenolic, Epoxy, Acrylic) and Cold Mounting (Acrylic, Epoxy, Polyester)

• Mounting helps easy Abrasion, protect edge of specimen and keep consistency of material surface

• Hot Mounting Resin is Powder Type and Cold Mounting Resin is Liquid Type

• Cold Mounting conduct on low temperature (40~70℃), can make many sample in one time on ambient temperature

• Most of Cold Mounting customer using Epoxy Resin. Low Contraction percentage, good sticky to specimen

• Mix Epoxy Resin with Hardener, put it specific Mold, then set about few hours

• MTDI sells 2 Types Epoxy Resin : Quick Type, Standard Type

• Mix Ratio : 16 (Resin) : 5 (Hardener). (Ratio can be change by the brands)

• The material sensitive on Temperature (under 60℃) uses Standard Type, If not (under 80℃) can use Quick Type

• Harden time : Standard (6~8 hrs), Quick Type (appx. 2 hrs)
