- The Dytran series 3200 is a highly rugged IEPE accelerometer with a natural frequency greater than 90 kHz, designed to measure severe shocks and other extreme short duration events. High shock measurements are typically characterized as such above the range of 2,500 g’s. In order to accurately measure shock levels of this magnitude, accelerometers must have a high natural frequency, rugged construction and be fairly compact in size.
- Available in up to a 70,000g range, the series 3200 features a quartz crystal sensing element, operating in compression mode, packaged in a stainless steel housing for a total weight of 6 grams. Units are electrically case isolated and feature a broad frequency response; 1/4–28, M6, or,10–32 mounting stud; and 10–32 coaxial connector.
FEATURES:
- Stainless steel
- Base isolated
- Lightweight
- High natural frequency of >90 kHzIEPE
APPLICATIONS:
- Drop testing
- Far field blast testing

- The 3200B4T is a 10,000g shock accelerometer with a 10–32 mounting stud. It is used for high shock testing of objects.
